The Aces outscored Conestoga 32-10 in the first half and cruised to a 60-40 victory on the road.
BJ Johnson '13 scored his 1000th career point in the contest. The 6'7 senior guard entered play needing 11 points to reach the milestone, and he arrived in style on a smooth jumper in the third quarter. Johnson finished with a game-high 14 points. He becomes the ninth player in program history to score 1000 points and the first since Greg Robbins in 2009.
Raheem Hall '13 turned in another strong performance on both sides of the ball, scoring 13 points and limiting talented Conestoga guard Zach Yonda to just seven points (11 below his season average) and zero in the decisive first half.
Wednesday also featured break-out performances from sophomores Jule Brown and Corey Sherman. Brown notched a career-high ten points and had the highlight of the night, a rim-rattling breakaway dunk in the third quarter. Sherman drilled two first half treys en route to nine points. Also scoring for the Aces were Yohanny Dalembert '13 (7 points), Justin McFadden '14 (5 points) and Bryan Shapiro '13 (2 points).
The Aces (15-2) return to action on Friday night at home in a Coaches vs. Cancer double-header against Harriton. The girls game tips off at 6 PM. The boys follow at 7:30 PM. Johnson will be honored in a pre-game ceremony.
